LB was my number 2, but since the denial I just moved everything up one. Not that SB is a bad school, I just wanted to get into a program that was closer to LA, but I’m thankful for wherever I end up at.
@IsntThatSpatial - That’s true. Idk man, I feel the opposite. In November I was like I know their going to let me in these months so I wasn’t worried. Now it’s March lol. Almost there.
@firefox952 Unfortunately, CSUN is delayed for me. I checked my status and email, and I got nothing. I don’t really care at this point anymore, I most likely will attend CSULB, since CSUN is quite far from where I live and CPP isn’t really good for Economics anyways. I’ll see you guys at The Beach lol.
@StudentAgain Good luck with UCs by the way! I’m sure that’s even more stressful. Have you heard from any yet? I’m not sure how they work.
@IsntThatSpatial Dude you’re totally right, but who uses logic in these situations? As soon as February rolls out, where all at the edge of our seat. What schools did you apply to?
@muzzles - That’s pretty much where I’m at, at this point. The Beach is pretty much it If I have to wait till the end of the month for these schools to let me know. I don’t mind being patient if I have a date of when I’m going to be told, not whenever they feel like it. But my patience is starting to thin a bit with these schools lol.
Still? That’s weird. I got my acceptance through my student email over 3 weeks ago. Yeah I wouldn’t think CPP is known for Econ anyways. CSUN for me is just way too close to home.
@firefox952 I think it’s annoying because we know that CSULB and CSULA can get applications done quickly, so why not these other schools? That’s what bothering me, as least. I just want to accept my admission to LB already and get it over with. I need to prepare for moving nearby anyways. What major did you apply to?
@firefox952 Exactly! lol at least give us a date or something to ease the anxiety. I wouldn’t mind waiting as much if the schools I applied to told us a date or gave us a range of dates for admit decisions.
@muzzles Hahha yeah logic goes out the window when anxiety is through the roof. I applied to CSUN (I withdrew cause I am not realistically going to move to Northridge), CSUSB, CPP, and SDSU. I am from the IE but moved to SD after my girl graduated from CSUSB so my number 1 school is SDSU. Hard school to get into but if not I guess I’ll have to move back home for a bit if the other schools accept me. At this point I am just thinking I’ll be rejected from all schools and redirected to SFSU and that is okay. I am just doing that to not get my hopes too far up so the process for me can be a bit less stressful in case I am rejected from all the schools I applied to.
You spoke about The Beach that school is excellent! I have a friend who played soccer there and graduated. What other schools did you apply to?
@muzzles - Idk about CSULA, I still haven’t heard from them yet either, but I’ll take your word for it lol. And yeah seriously, CSULB is more impacted then CSUF but yet some how managed to let us know long before. Idk about you guys, but I’m not down for this whole let’s let these people know in April decisions that they might be doing. Like you, I want to get my stuff ready and set up for wherever I go. Not at the last minute. I applied to this History major, but I’m going to switch to Business (since I have my business stuff done, but History is an easier admit then business).
@IsntThatSpatial - Exactly! I hate the randomness of the dates they let us know. They should be more consistent with their dates instead of just whenever someone feels like working on our file and then updating it.
Have yet to hear from Cal Poly Pomona, SLO, and Fullerton. They need to hurry up , I already got accepted to SDSU but I need to compare Financial aid packages.
@raphmorales i hear people say a lot that they need to compare financial aid packages but what does that mean exactly? i thought all schools at a CSU level give __, all schools at UC level give etc based on your FAFSA. how does it actually work?
@quelaquela When discussing grant money, mostly. Federal Pell Grants and Cal Grants are going to be the same regardless of where you go since those amounts are determined by the government. School based grants and scholarships are vastly different depending on the school though. One school could offer a nice scholarship and allow you to pocket the surplus money while another school only gives you grant money.
My admission status just changed to eligible for consideration. Does that mean I’m in? Do I have to wait longer for it to change to something else? Kinda freaking out because I really want to get in
I haven’t heard back yet. Also, when do you think they will notify us about studio placement? I’d rather know sooner than later so I can decide if I want to transfer or not.
@brahammie we wont know what year we’re going to be place in until we submit our portfolio. So once they finish reviewing our portfolio, we’ll be notified what are placement would be in. Also if you already taken physics and i think a speech class or are currently taking it, you’ll most likely be placed in 2nd yr. If not you’ll be placed in 1st yr. Its in the email they sent us
my portal changed as well to “eligible for consideration” yesterday
I applied to their animal health science program. It’s super impacted though. It said that although I meet their requirements for admission they need time to consider me and the other applicants. The latest we should hear back is May apparently. I just want a straight yes or no decision
