<p>Does anyone know when the first freshman orientation for Cal Poly Pomona is?? I’m just curious to know. Also, what exactly goes on in orientation? Do we have to stay in dorms throughout the orientation days?</p>

· Campus tour
· Lodging in the residence halls (including bedding) we sleep there for two nights
· Materials (course listing, Bronco ID card, resource guide)
· Campus resource information
· Meals during the program (Day 1 lunch & dinner; Day 2 breakfast, lunch, dinner; Day 3 breakfast & lunch)
· Time to meet other new and current students
· Campus involvement opportunities</p>

<p>We sleep there for two nights because they have a lot of various activities planned</p>
<p>I guess they kinda want orientation to be like camp so you can like get really involved meet a lot of new people and really start to love the school before you even start going there.</p>
<p>It is definitely OVERNIGHT for two nights. The goal is to familiarize students with the school and their peers. Enjoy!</p>
<p>They have you do way too much stuff at orientation, I went last year and they had us go to presentations, activities, tours, and a bunch of other random crap from 7am to 11pm with pretty much no breaks the entire 3 days.</p>

<p>Does anyone know what the schedule is for the parent orientation? I know it is on the first day of each freshman orientation from 11-8, but in the case of some parents, they may be flying in and out and cannot be at the school until 8pm because of flight times …
Is there a schedule posted somewhere or does anyone know what would be missed by leaving in the late afternoon?

<p>i didnt know overnight stay was mandated now. since being there during the day was pretty boring already. parent orientation is not usually as long and it is just for a day. plus i dont think they really need to attend. the only important part is when they show you how to sign up for classes. i recommend talking to the teachers and students helping you register for classes on which classes to take, which teachers to avoid and so on.</p>
<p>Just in case anybody is confused, this doesn’t apply to transfer students when they go to orientation. Ours is only a day.</p>
