Cal Poly Regular Decision Thread 2016-2017

yes I am in-state

yes I am in-state

hit the button too many times lol

I was accepted last Friday for Bioresource and Agricultural engineering. My weighted 10-12 GPA I put on the app was a 4.5, my weighted regular is a 4.35, and the unweighted was a 4.0. I only entered my new SAT score, which was a low 1150. However I think my high GPA helped me. Also I took only 8 AP/Honors courses my whole high school career. And I never took spanish 3 only up to Spanish 2. From my school I already know of 5 people that have been accepted, and this discludes the people accepted for engineering.

@Jacobjello58 your math is off somewhere. Cal Poly uses weighted 9-11 GPA, weighting a max of 8 semesters.

A student with an unweighted GPA of 4.0 who took 5 academic classes per year would have 30 semesters.

30 x 4 = 120 + 8 weighting points = 128 then divide by semesters of 30 = 4.26666 weighted Cal Poly GPA

However the max GPA Cal Poly uses in calculating your MCA score is 4.2

Looks like transfer students heard today.
