Cal Poly San Luis Obispo OR Humboldt?

Actually, Humboldt is very good in marine and environmental sciences.

Ima leave this site now cuz I’m just not happy with how people like BrownParent will give attitude instead of help and people will bring up different topics and take over my posts. I am very unhappy with this site and I will go else where. All schools with early decision have to make it sound like you HAVE to go if you apply ED because if they didn’t EVERYONE would just go and apply ED which they don’t want. I applied ED because I was very serious about the two schools, and yes I knew the prices which is the reason why I am waiting to see financial aid before I accept. I don’t like how this site does not say how old the members are or what kind of experience they have in universities and admissions. I see a lot of people who do not understand what their talking about speaking as if they know everything and it’s a shame. I feel sorry for anyone who is misled by any information they read on this site.

“If you deny them, then you just took a spot from a kid whose dream school is slo.”

Any unfilled spots will be given to another dreamer; the seat won’t be empty. :)

If you can’t afford the financial aid offer, you cannot be forced to attend.

Lol sorry for that bad info. I apologize. My friend told me that ahahagahaahahah

Congrats!

SLO is a better school hands down. (better weather too) so, most sane people are going to tell you SLO is the place to be. You do need to respond to them quickly, that’s part of the ED deal. They really do expect that you’ve already made up your mind. If you don’t respond/accept in time, your seat is gone. You are effectively ‘dead to them’.

I would be shocked if the CSU system were coordinated enough to block you out of Humboldt. Assume nothing though. I would contact them (Humboldt) directly and make sure.

As I recall, you are from the east coast - so the Western States Tuition deal won’t apply. As an out of state student, the cost of all the CSUs will be roughly the same ($30k+/- if you live on campus) . It is also safe to assume you’ll get no aid from the state so, you don’t really need to see the offers to know for sure.

Good luck.
