Cal Poly, SLO: Liberal Studies

Hi! I’m currently a high school junior and was wondering how competitive the Liberal Studies program at Cal Poly is? Currently, I have a 4.0 GPA and an 1190 SAT score. I also have several extracurriculars. Please help me!

Here is the 2018 Freshman profile results for the College of Science and Mathematics where the Liberal studies program is housed. This data is for the College overall and not major specific.

Average CP GPA: 4.18 Average ACT: 31 Average SAT: 1420

Liberal Studies had around an expected acceptance rate of 59% which is pretty good for SLO. To determine your chances you need to calculate your CP GPA (9-11th grades with a cap of 8 semesters of Honors points for UC approved Honors, AP/IB or DE courses). The Rogerhub UC GPA calculator is easy to use and just add your 9th grades along with 10-11th into the calculation.

Once you have your CP GPA you can use this calculator to determine your MCA points: https://mca.netlify.com/

SLO admits by major and MCA points. If you check the Final Status thread, you might find so MCA points listed for Liberal Studies.
