I've applied to SLO for a major in Mechanical Engineering. I choose this major because I viewed it as a safer alternative to Aerospace Engineering and I like the idea of having more options for after graduation. I like aircraft and space so I think I would like to work for a company like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, etc.

On Cal Poly's website they have something called the Multidisciplinary Design Minor which has optional courses in aircraft and spacecraft design for non AeroE students.

Does anyone here have any experience with this and would this benefit me if I wanted to go into the aerospace industry with a MechE degree?
