Cal Poly SLO or Cal Poly Pomona?

I got acepted for both Cal Polys (Pomona and SLO) for architecure but I don't know which one to pick. I like Cal Poly Pomona's design-studio based program and the fact that the campus is close to LA arch studios. San Luis Obispo is a nice town, but architecturally there's really nothing appealing and seems a tad bit isolated from a major metropolis. Is choosing Pomona over SLO madness like some suggest? Thanks. (I posted the same question under both college's threads)

Many would argue that SLO has pretty remarkable architecture for an isolated town of 45,000 people. It has one of the state’s oldest missions, a historic downtown, and a Frank Lloyd Wright medical clinic.

No, it’s way isolated.

SLO is more selective and better known. Most people prefer the social scene at SLO, since it is a residential university; Pomona is largely a commuter school. But if you prefer an urban scene, you will probably be a lot happier at Pomona. So no, it would not be crazy to go there instead.

Thanks for the concise response Corbett! I think I’m leaning towards Cal Poly Pomona but I’ll do more research… THANKS!

I think if you have talent, it really does not matter where you go. You should pick the school you feel comfortable with. Maybe spend sometime on both campus and see which one clicks for you.

SLO does have a much higher reputation than Pomona.

Pomona and SLO have about the same reputation in some majors like Arch, Engineering and Ag. Anyways, I just decided to go to Pomona. Thank you all! =)
