Cal Poly SLO vs. UC Irvine (biological sciences)

I got accepted to SLO & Irvine, I am aware that SLO's biological sciences are overshadowed by their engineering and architecture programs, however, does anyone know if their biological sciences major is equivalent or even matches up to Irvine's? Still indecisive as to where I want to go...

I was in your same position my freshman year getting accepted into both also as a biological science major. From my experience now, I am a junior, Cal Poly SLO does not have quite as intensive biology program as Irvine does. Irvine is more science oriented and competitive for biology. I looked at and liked both schools. I am now a biology major at UCSC with a marine bio emphasis. I would strongly recommend looking once more at both schools and choosing the one that feels like the best fit for you. No matter where you go, you will get a great education both are competitive schools and will look good if you want to continue on to grad school. Good luck!

I say UCI.
