Cal poly slo

Hi I'd love to know if bioresource and agricultural engineerig major is pretty hard to get into. I have a 3.77 csu gpa and 3.4 cal poly gpa with 1220 SAT ( Math+cr) but the sat is most likely going to go up to 1300 when i take it in October. Any thoughts?

Your GPA is a little low, but besides that, I think you have a good chance. Just use first semester senior year to bump up your GPA, and keep taking rigorous classes.

Good luck! :)

But i dont think they’re going to look at my senior gpa though! Thank you though!

Hello fellow cal poly slo hopeful! I have pretty similar stats apply bioengineering. You picked a major probobly on the easier side in terms of acceptance. Chance me?

i think you have a great chance! your stats are way better than mine. i don’t know for sure since im not the one selecting you but i think you have a great chance.

Thanks, mine aren’t that much better at all. My sat is around 1300 for cr + math so if you get that were even. Are you doing ED?

Probably not. Aha

ED has a higher chance of admission if I recall correctly.

I know! Lol but im considering other colleges as well so… Anyone else wanna help a brother out?

I also heard that slo looks at if you actually do stuff related to your major. Whether it be high level math and science cources or clubs. For you, if you took like AP physics, bio, calc and was into engineering activities it would help! For instance how would they know that your really know what you want to major in if you have no experience or indication of what it is!

That’s true. Hmm thank you. Anyone else wanna chance me??

Bump-------------

I would say medium low. Your GPA is slightly low, but a killer SAT/ACT score could definitely boost your chances. Cal poly weights test scores and GPA about 40%~ each.

Note the average SAT scores for the difference colleges and aim a bit higher than them. This will make up for the lower GPA.

Definitely bump that SAT (Math+CR) up to 1300~ or so and you’ll have a good chance. :)

Well the college of agriculture average SAT SCORE is 1227 so aiming 1300 would be a good bet right?

Bump-----------
