Hello! Thanks for taking your time and reading this thread.

So the reason for this kind of disparate choices of schools(particularly UofR) is because I'm also doing a double degree at all of these schools in Music (Flute performance). If you had advices about that: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/1115496-eastman-vs-northwestern-vs-nyu-vs-cal-flute.html#post12309124

But for this thread I would like to ask for your advices on specifically the Economics program at each of these schools, as well as the general student life.

Some thoughts I already have:
NYU: i love nyc. opportunities(for both econ and music). dorms. and nyc again :)
Northwestern: very encouraging of dual degree. highest ranked econ program out of the 4. close to chicago
UofR: the balance on this one was leaning to music, where the Eastman School is among the top in the nation. I guess the econ program is good too....
Cal: regents so I'm assuming I will be among at least the top third of the class. high overall school ranking

I've visited all of them except for cal, which is odd since i'm in-state...and I loved nyc, was bored out of my mind at Rochester, and barely got to spend any time at NU.

I don't really care about weather or sports. I think I would like a very competitive environment.

Thanks!
