CAL VS UCLA

Hello,

I was just accepted by UCLA and CAL (as a transfer student). I will need to declare my major once I get there for both schools. It seems like it’s easier to declare Econ major at UCLA. Also, I would probably be happier at UCLA. I have heard a lot of people said Cal is not in the safest area and it’s so competitive. But Cal is so prestigious.

what are the reasons would one choose CAL over UCLA and UCLA over CAL?

I think you answered your own question. Go with the college that you will be happy and thrive at. UCLA is very comparable to UCB. There is no wrong answer.
