I've applied for Fall 2008 Character Animation! I haven't seen much activity around her pertaining to CalArts and wanted to see if any or you or your children have applied. If so, for what department/major?

I applied for Acting! I tried to get CC to add CalArts to their Colleges list but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. I'm so nervous! Have you heard back from them yet?

With admission decisions coming out nobody in my house even bothers getting the mail anymore because I'm always the one to check it and bring it in, haha. I wish CalArts would just email us so I don't have to wait until I go home to check!

She was accepted for the BFA Acting program....and I meant to say that the box had a glittered BOW saying congradulations! However this could be just the way the acting department sends out their acceptances.
Sending positive energy your way....best of luck!!

I got in and was notified sometime in February. If I attend it will be for fine arts. The notice came in a decorated envelope with a folder inside. It reminded me of the brochure for the arts programs. I am now slightly upset that I did receive a bow.

I am waiting for financial information because I live all the way in MA and need some serious money offers to attend.

Congrats on getting in Mad Hatter!!! Possibly the bow fell off in transit? I hope you do receive financial aid- tuition there is steep! But it's 4 years of being free and you can't put a price on that :D

I just got my acceptance letter today for BFA Acting!! I haven't visited the school yet because I live on the east coast, but I'm sooo excited!!

It seems that people out of state and even internationals get their acceptances first. I go to an animation forum and people from England and NY have gotten theirs whereas people who live a mile from campus and in CA have not received theirs yet. I can only speak for animation though. (I live 2.5 hours away myself).
