If you sub x=-1, it won't come out y=1, so it's wrong

I restate my question from the above.

happy, actually if you sub x= -1 you do get y = 1.

My final answer was linear for that one, as was my friend who generally gets 100% on practice calc exams. It didn't make sense to me, but thats what i got, and that's what he got too so im just hoping for the best. not that two points will really matter...

lol scratch the absolute value. My answer was linear too....just redid it at home and got same answer as on the test....yay(this separated me from a 4 and a 5 lol)

MC was ridiculously easy. Had trouble with 2 or 3 but answered all. I think I did good enough with the FR to get a 5.

That wasn't even an exam, wow.

if it were a liner equation, it should have one slope only.

Actually, there's a similar AP question in the past years.

Hey everyone!

Wow, I found the test a lot easier than much of the practice that I had done. I'm sure I got AT LEAST a 4, and a 5 is definitely possible.

You know what sucks though? There was construction going on, on my school's roof, so all we heard throughout the entire exam was the incessant drilling of some power tool. It was awful! The proctors kept trying to get a message over to the construction workers, but they didn't get it. Finally, my school principal went to them himself, and the stupid noise stopped about midway through the FRQs!

Should I report this as a testing irregularity? While I feel I did fine on the test, I know I could have done SO MUCH better if I had been able to concentrate more. Right now, rather than thinking a 5 is POSSIBLE, I'm pretty sure I'd feel it was definite (had there been no drilling noise). Haha, 4 hours of drilling and calculus are the perfect combo for a KILLER headache! I'm not the only one who complained either. A lot of my classmates and the Calc BC kids thought it was ridiculous! Haha, ok at some points we all just cracked up b/c - well c'mon, there was some sort of jackhammer or drill being used through the entire test!! OH, and by the last FRQ, I was hammering at my pink booklet w/ my pencil like a jackhammer - in an attempt to finish it all.

So what do you think? Is it worth reporting? Will they make the AB and BC students @ my school take it again?? I personally don't want to go through the ENTIRE test again b/c all I need is a 4 for Calc credit at Princeton. Idk..... I would appreciate any insight! I hope you all did well

-Jon

You CCers put us normal people to shame.
I didn't think it was laughably easy. I'm hoping (don't want to jinx it) for a 4. I'm pretty sure a five is out of my reach, and i'm praying it's not a three.

MC was okay (okay for me means I got probably 50% of hte questions), and I thought the free response were all pretty easy. i just probably lost points being careless.

I have no idea. We had some "irregularities" too. Our proctor didn't know what she was doing. She didn't have us fill in the test we were taking and skipped a survey. She started collecting the MC sheets, then put them back and had us fill the stuff in. Then in the first half of the free response our announcements came on. It wasn't normal length announcements, the lady talked for about 5mins, I couldn't concentrate. All our bells were supposed to be off for the day, but they weren't.

Ewww erbium, that sucks. But in my case, a jackhammer was going off for almost 4 hours straight! I mean, sure after a while you get used to it (sensory adaptation), but no AP student should have to endure that - ESPECIALLY NOT FOR AP CALC!! Ahh.... I'm only afraid that if I say anything to the College Board that they'll make all the Calc students (that's AB and BC) in my school retest (and I know most of us wouldn't want to). I think I got at least a 4 (a high 4). All I need is a 4 for credit so maybe I should just keep quiet....? Does anyone know what the College Board could possibly do in my school's case? And, I'm sorry for the rest of you who also had testing irregularities. I just hope they weren't as bad as my school's! :(

Really easy. The only thing I had trouble with was that one slope field question on the non calculator. Other than that I'm pretty sure I did really well.

Hey,
I also thought the MC was really easy, wasn't to sure about one, left none blank, could of missed 5 for some stupid reason, lol. I did marginally worse on the FR one (Hint: I hate rockets, can't do reimann sums, and my diff equation was way off, linear, like a lot of you here). Last year's exams, though, only took off like one point for having the wrong answer on the diff. equation, as long as you followed all the other steps. Also, I rounded to 4 decimel places. Will they take points off for that?

Overall I though the MC was fairly easy, I skipped four on the MC overall. The FRQs were interesting to say the least, again my slope field answer was odd, (linear), and some of the FRQ I had to think about for a while. Overall it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated.

No matter how many decimal places you have, they only look at the first three.

hmm...I should hope that CC does not represent the majority of test-takers...b/c if it does, the curve will be INSANE.

So the answer to that slope fields question wasn't linear?

I am pretty sure

sweet... now only bio to go
