Calc AB Exam--How'd you do?

silas101, only one question, did you get linear or curve?

for which question

slope field......last question

anyone: there was a question about e^(ax) + f(x) and you had to find the first derivative and second derivative. Does the second derivative work out to be 0?

The thing is, I redid the slope fields question, this time NOT simplifying e^lnx to x, and I got the same answer. Eh.

I thought the multiple choice was really easy. I answered every question, and I had enough time to go back and recheck my answers three times. The free response was okay. The only one I had problems with was the slope fields one. I can still get a 5, even if I miss part (b) of that problem, given that I did relatively well on the multiple choice and the rest of the FR, right?

I got a-4 for the first derivative, and a^2 + 3 for the second derivative.

First deriv = ae^(ax) + f'(x)

sec = (a^2)e^(ax) + f''(x)

I got a linear equation for that one question and said the domain was all real except 0? That was defintely the hardest question on the whole test.

I also was stumped on the slope field because every practice exam with that question gave an answer similar to y=e^x+c. I also got a linear answer and I know it's wrong because of the way the slope fields are drawn. Maybe we all cross multiplied wrong and should have gotten
1/(y+1)dy= xdx

the question about e^ax + f(x) which FRQ was it? was it six?

it should turn out to be ln|y+1|=ln|x|+c, with f(1)=-1, so c=ln(0) which DNE

"the question about e^ax + f(x) which FRQ was it? was it six?"

yea it was the 6th one on no calculator section

I thought it was ok. I actually thought the FR was easier than some on here but I still screwed up on one of them. The MC wasnt bad, curve might be tough this year.

what was the second part of question six? It seems out of all the questions I can't remember 6 and it's driving me insane!

mc no calc was kinda harder than i expected, prolay 3-5 wrong
calc mc was a breeze 1 wrong
free response, prolay 6 or 7 points off

slope field

for those of you who are wondering about the slope field, I emailed the question to my friend-he's getting a scholarshipt to harvard grad in math studies(only studnet to do so) and he said my answer for the differential equation was correct. I will disclose it after 48 hours have passed.
I'm just happy I got it lol

Hold on, wasnt it Rocket A?

All I did was integrate the acceleration and plug in t=80 for B. That gave a value of 27. Rocket A was 49 at t=80.

can you just answer if it's a linear or curve?

on page 3, he stated that it was linear.
