Calc AB or BC Exam?

The hardest math class available in my school AP Calc AB., and I will be taking it next year. I want to know the benefits of taking the BC exam instead of the AB exam. Is it better?...feeling confident for a 5 on either.

i think AB is worth 3 credits and most schools, while BC is worth 6.

worth the double credit.

i took both b/c well, it gave me a gpa boost. but i'd say go for bc so you don't waste an extra $90 for another ap exam.

If the school accepts it, usually AP AB is 1 semester (3 credit hours) while AP BC is 2 semesters (6 credit hours).

AP BC can often count for AB because it also gives you an AB subscore, which pretty much gives you your AB score and a BC score

I was in Calc AB this year but did BC on my own... most of the extra stuff is REALLY easy, actually "gimme" questions like integration by part or polar graphs and parametrics... the only really, really, really hard thing to teach myself was Taylor/Maclaurin series, and I really only got down the basics of them like finding the interval of convergence or writing them (so I lucked out if you look at the FRQs in this years BC exam, because it was simple!)... but other than the series stuff, it was definitely worth it!
