Calc BC or Diff Equations?

Would taking Diff Equations or Calc BC really matter in senior year. I really like math and would defintely take it in college. However I am taking a lot of hard classes next year so would not like to be over burdened. Which would be better to take?

Well, Georgetown,Harvard, UPenn, Duke, and other schools of that caliber just came to town and a kid asked the same question. If diff eq would be at a local college or cc than take calc BC!!!!! Reason is because colleges don't know the curriculum for those classes, but know the AP and high school curriculum. Therefore, I think you should take Calc BC

I'm assuming you've taken some calc already? Because if you haven't, then you definitely need to do that before taking DiffEq. Many schools only go up to Calc BC, and colleges will definitely not look at it as a slacker class! If you feel like you might be overburdened, I would go ahead and take that. But it's ultimately up to you.

My school requires a 4 on the BC exam to even take Calculus III, which is a pre-requisite of Diff EQ. I took it this year and it was a lot of work, especially if your teacher is very theory heavy [the proofs are a pain and there are a lot].

Any other opinions?

If you've already taken AB, then BC is slightly repetitive. Otherwise, if precalculus is as far as you've gone, don't try jumping to differential equations. My differential equations class has people who came from AB (though most have BC under their belt) and they are not really at a disadvantage in the class, but you definitely need experience in at least AB to take DE.
(Haha, AB, BC, DE. :D)

If you take DE at a community college, take a close look at the curriculum. For example, if it includes series solutions to second order DE's, then you need to take BC instead because AB doesn't cover infinite series.
