Calc BC?

Is it necessary to finish calc bc in high school? I'm planning on taking Calc AB next year but i can try to skip to BC. Either way i will be taking around 5 APs next year including AP Physics. I guess my question is will it look bad if i don't take BC?

Why not just take BC and if its too hard you can drop down to AB?

Not taking BC won’t look bad, take either calc depending on what your preference is. Maybe ask your math teacher what they recommend. However, BC might help you more in understanding AP Physics C if you’ve never had calculus.

Don’t do or not do things because they “look good” or “look bad”. Do them because you feel up to the challenge.

I agree,^ but sometimes, i think, you have to do things you are not comfortable with. I personally think that if i take BC I will probably get a B but if i take AB i will get an A. I can always take a course at a local CC to familiarize myself with physics related math. TBH my math record hasn’t been great, i got a B last semester in H Precalc (its supposed to be harder than AB at our school) and i seem to choke under pressure during SAT math, so i personally think i should take math 1 step at a time, but i do have the determination to do it if it will affect my chances.
