I am considering studying economics once I transfer out of cc, and I am completing calc 1 this year. According to what I can gather from their website, calc 1 is the only calculus required for a BA economics through LSA. Is this true, or am I missing anything? And yes, I know it’s “recommended” to take more calc than just calc 1. I’ll worry about that a little bit later.
This is true, but in order to take the required courses like econ 401 and 402, it is really beneficial to have calc 2 and calc 3 experience.

Make sure where your taking your courses they actually Transfer to Michigan. Math and science they are “very” picky about.
If you want to go on to PhD study in economics, you will need more math, like multivariable calculus, linear algebra, real analysis, and probability theory.
