Calc I summer program

I received information about a calc online summer program for accepted jhu freshmen. I would love to sign up but I don't really know how to register. Through the summer program as a visiting undergraduate?

Anyone know? Thanks

Another related question...
I am currently doing IB Math HL and think I will get a 7. This gives me some credit in JHU. Will this be in lieu of the calc I course or can you do both and get a total of 8 credits before entering JHU?

Is [url=<a href="http://www.mathematics.jhu.edu/new/undergrad/onlinecourse.htm%5Dthis%5B/url">http://www.mathematics.jhu.edu/new/undergrad/onlinecourse.htm]this[/url</a>] the online course you're talking about? If so, the website says to register through Summer Programs.

As for the IB credit - if you get a 7 on the Math HL, you will get 8 credits for 110.106-107 or 110.108-109 (essentially Calculus I and Calculus II). The online calc course would be a repeat of Calculus I - if you took it, you would have to forfeit your IB credit, pay for the summer course and take it for credit.

Thanks, Tanman

yup thats the course. through the summer program as a ...visiting undergrad? and i'd have to list my activities and gpa and awards? that doesn't sound right though, i've already been accepted into the university. I have to do it again?

i was wondering the same thing, do we have to list our activities, gpa, etc. again for the calc 1 class even though we were admitted to the university?

Just a piece of advice -- if you receive an email or correspondence from a specific office or department at Hopkins, and you have questions -- you should contact that office directly.

As far as these questions, contact the office that sent the email or contact the summer studies office -- they will have the right information.

anonymous1234 ,
I asked my profesors and they sent me this link
<a href="http://www.jhu.edu/summer/hopkins/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.jhu.edu/summer/hopkins/index.html</a> (we just have to register because we're precertified, no application)
But I can't get my JHU ID until I register, and yet I can't register without my JHU ID. :-? I asked tech support today and i can let you know when i find out

thanks for the information...but i have yet to get my jhed lid.
