ok, here i go again rambling about calc 1 haha.

QUESTION: has anyone ever taken a winter intersession course and been able to put it on their application during the january update? (winter inter-session courses usually end about 5 days before the deadline to update your app..for those who dont know)

so a couple weeks ago i posted a thread about me skipping pre-calc and going straight into calc 1 because i need it to be seen on my application. the reason i was not worried about skipping calc 1 was because i planned to teach myself some pre-cal AND (MORE IMPORTANTLY) i knew i would be taking calc 1 an amazing math teacher with a 15 percent extra credit option. so i knew id push for an A but if i came out with a B id be alright with the 15%. so i just found out that this "amazing teacher" will not be taching calc 1 this fall, but will be teaching pre-calc. i think math can easily be taught bad, if you know what i mean.

so thats the story, but really what i need is an answer to the question! thanks for all the help

I took a winter intersession course and was able to update the january app since it ended the day before the deadline. if your course ends before (or even after) you can update it. i dropped a class and picked up another class after the deadline and update the app and also sent an email to the UC’s telling them.

Ramble:
If you skipped pre-cal, then you must be a math person, lol. (I skipped it as well) I wouldn’t worry so much. I took AP Calculus D Sophomore year HS, no big deal.

…and I really can’t believe you have all that planned out, you’re really prepared, you should be proud of yourself! Hahahaha. [:

alright so even though i should be proudof myself for trying to prepare myself for the calc series…i just figured out that i really dont have to take calc 1 and can just take calc with applications and not waste my time trying to figure out pre-cal and study trig in depth.

i think thats what im gonna do…just jump straight into calc with applications…seeing that trig wont be need heavily in that class…right?

anyone take calc with applications? help please lol
