When you calculate a student's high school grade point average, do you use the grade earned for each semester, even if some classes are year-round, or do you only use the final grade for all classes? If you use the final grade earned, do semester classes count differently than year-round classes (like year-round classes count more than semester ones)?

Most high school’s will send a student’s transcript from freshman, sophomore and junior years broken down by semester with calculated semester GPA’s and a cumulative GPA. Colleges will then recalculate a student’s ‘real’ GPA to their own institutional formula: http://www.possibilityu.com/how-calculate-your-“real”-high-school-gpa
