I have taken AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. I scored a 4 on the BC exam. However, through dual enrollment, I have taken Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I know that UMich doesn't offer calc 2 credit for a 4 on the exam. Is there a placement test I can take..or would I have to redo the course?

The placement exam would not place you beyond Calc1. Note that CoE and LSA have different AP credit policy on AP Calc, but 4 in AP Calc BC would only get you credit for Calc 1 in both cases. For dual enrollment, check if the college credit is accepted at UMich. It is not uncommon that UMich does not accept some course credits from certain colleges. If they do accept your DE credits, then you will be placed into Calc4 or beyond.

Thanks!

If you’re going to CoE, it’s my understanding that if you’ve already “skipped” calc 2 as you have, you can replace it with an additional higher level math class. I don’t know if having both DiffEq and LA will be good enough, but if not you can take a higher level math class instead of retaking Calc 2.
