I'm currently in enrolled in calculus AB. Is there any reason to take this ap exam if I am going to end up taking the ap BC exam in my senior year? I heard taking the BC exam basically replaces the AB one.

There might be a few reasons. If your school subsidizes the cost of the tests, just take it anyway since it won’t cost much (plus it will give you an idea of where you’re at in calculus). Also, you would have a score to show on your college applications. Finally, if you somehow do poorly on the BC test (had a bad day, forgot some AB stuff, etc) then you’ll have an AB score to get some credit.

You do realize that if you get every question right about AB on the BC test it still scales to a 5 on the BC right?
