<p>UCSB will begin downloading and processing Cal Grant awards on September 8. Our goal is to begin disbursing processed Cal Grant awards to students BARC accounts by Friday, September 12.</p>
<p>As noted in our prior update, we will credit aid to students BARC accounts on a daily basis from September 12 to September 25, the first day of classes. Beginning September 29, we will revert to a twice-per-week disbursement schedule.</p>

<p>The governor is cutting it quite close if you ask me.</p>
<p>Actually, they found out I was denied for Cal Grant A and just switched me over to full University Grant eligibility. I asked them what happened, and they told me that they didn't even check to see if I was eligible for Cal Grant B; and upon looking it up, they realized that I should have gotten that one, in addition to the University Grant.</p>
<p>Just today, a financial aid office representative called my phone, and told me that they fixed up the problem, and my BARC now reads that Cal Grant Access has been paid.</p>
<p>Either way, as long as your EFC is at $0, then University Grant will cover anything you don't get from the Cal Grant. The only real problem here was that this could have jeopardized my future eligibility for Cal Grant B in the coming years.</p>
<p>I haven't got my Calgrant yet and I'm worried. Because the next quarter deadline is approaching, it's already october 7th today, I don't know are they still distributing it little by little.</p>
