Hi everyone! Before I start, I would like to request the people who are just going to ask questions like ‘why ivy league’ to refrain from commenting. I appreciate it.
I’m an international student at a CC in my second quarter. My HS gpa is around 3.5. I’m a Comp Sci major, tennis player, pianist.
It has been a dream of mine to transfer to Columbia ever since I was born. And that made me take more classes than I could handle in my first quarter ever. So I ended up failing a class. It was a non-major, and a pass/no pass class. And I was dealing with a health issue.
Since I’m fairly new to the college system and to the U.S., I wanted to ask if it’s still possible to transfer to Columbia?
I am retaking the same class this quarter and getting a good grade.
Also, in general, is it the overall GPA that matters for transferring, or is it also getting all A’s?
