My daughter’s app is still Pending/Uner Review… Losing a little hope…
@mikevio so is mine. no need to worry, they are still taking their time to decide. by the beginning of april we will know for sure good luck!!
My daughter received a provisional admission offer into their nursing program on March 3rd. This just means she needs to maintain her grades required to get into the course.
Patience is the most important thing
Does anyone know if CSULB is having some kind of admitted students day or orientation? Apparently we missed the 3/17 open house. Currently there are no housing tours given and the only thing I can find is a 1 hour campus tour. Thanks!
I was admitted in February and I haven’t received a paper acceptance packet nor was I informed about the open house. Has anyone received the physical acceptance packet yet?
@spicyquiche D was accepted in Feb and don’t receive anything in the mail nor info about any tour or open house day.
Are you are you in state? I had the same application sent to me too and I’m still waiting to
hear back. it’s for the beach pathways application.
got an email in february saying i won’t hear back until the end of march and i am getting so anxious because still haven’t heard back!
Which is better for a bio major: CSULB or SDSU!!? Can’t decided aha… I know CSULB is better for Kinesiology and SDSU for business… I just wanna be more close to LA
When replying to the waitlist is it best to just answer the questions or do you say more?
Hi. What’s the name of the thread? The link doesn’t seem to work. Thanks!
Is anyone else still waiting for a decision? I was told this morning that D’s application is in review & we will have an answer by mid-April, and then Honors College status by May 1. Ummm, isn’t that way too late?
Prep Scholar says an average ACT for CSLB is 21. That doesn’t sound right. Does anyone on this thread know of a more realistic ACT score, my daughter is applying next year and needs a score to shoot for. Thanks!
@happychick1 I got into the engineering college with a 26 ACT and 1270 SAT. I’d say your daughter should aim for about that if not higher depending on the major. Your daughter should be good if she shoots for a 28 on the ACT.
Hope this helps!
@happychick1:
Based on the common dataset for 25th to 75th percentile ACT:
ACT Math: 17-30
ACT English: 14-29
ACT Composite: 15-28
Depending upon her intended major and for the best chances, she should aim for the 50th to 75th percentile or higher. CSULB admits by Eligibility index and major so to calculate the EI = (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10). Around a 950+ EI will make most applicants competitive for CSULB.
Here is more information about the eligibility index: https://web.csulb.edu/divisions/aa/catalog/current/admissions/eligibility_index.html
Local applicants get priority and will require a lower minimum EI than out of area applicants.
@Gumbymom Thank you so very much!!!

@Gumbymom Is CSULB worth it if I had SAT’s over 1300 in terms of reputation and quality of education?
