Call me silly, but... (QUICK, HELP!!)

Call me silly, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to apply to Yale early action, a week before the deadline no less.

Since Yale accepts either A) ACT Scores or B) SAT I and SATIIs, I feel like I'm strong enough right now to apply. I'll be taking SATIIs in November, so if I were to apply to early action, I'd be limited to the ACT.
--->34 ACT Composite
(Currently tied for Valedictorian, will most likely end up as Salutatorian)

I've completed the Common App, I have sent Yale my transcript from HS, I have two completed teacher recommendations, and I can send my ACT score in the blink of an eye. All I'd need to do before next week is: complete the supplemental essay and request college course transcripts (one from the nearby community college, and one from a college out of state). Will these even be sent by next week if I request them tomorrow (Oct. 26th)?

Should I go for it? Or should I bide my time with the essays and make them as polished as possible before the RD deadline? I currently have a 2200 SAT, I'll receive my updated scores this Thursday (hoping for a 2300-ish superscore), and I'll be taking SATIIs in November (hoping for an 800 math II and 700s Lit). I may or may not decide to send SATs over my ACT for regular decision, if I go that route.

Opinions? Thanks! Reply fast...

Since there is no strategic advantage to applying early, I would wait until you have everything prepared.

I’ll be straight up with you; I’m applying SCEA so I don’t want you to.

But the above poster was completely accurate. Applying SCEA will give you no advantage. If you got in SCEA, you would’ve gotten in RD. I personally think you’ll improve your chances by a) polishing your essays and b) potentially getting better test scores.

Just my two cents.

I agree. There is no advantage to rushing it to meet the deadline
