Calling a school because you were deferred?

I've read a few places that it might be a good idea to call a school if you're deferred admission. On Friday, I was deferred at UPenn. Is it a good idea for me to call and ask more about this or should I have my guidance counselor do this or should we both?

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would have said, Don’t make a pest of yourself, but our very own CC disagrees with me:

And there’s this:

hmmm…thanks! Yes, I definitely don’t want to come off as a pest but I do loveeeeee Penn and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get in so I might as well try some of those strategies =/

Good luck then. :)
