the recording part was absolutely awful, everyone in the room just started laughing and no one could concentrate

You mean the speaking or the listening? LOL throughout the speaking thing I just kept reminding myself that all the other non-native speakers were probably sucking it up big time too.

My essay was much too short, and I added a bit of franglais when it was absolutely necessary. So the essay probably won't go over too well with the readers.

As for speaking.... it was just a nightmare. I couldn't stop stumbling over my words. I even stumbled over my AP number!

I couldnt find my ap number..so i was like "mon numero de AP est....uh.." fumble fumble BEEEEP luckily we did our ap numbers before in english at the beginning..but i bet i sounded like a retard. :

Oh my gosh! Were we supposed to say our AP numbers in French? Uh oh...

not really, that was the example before doing that actual thing. You were suppose to have done it with the proctor..but its not really anything..as long as you said it in english

no, we weren't even supposed to record that part -- don't worry!

my speaking was horrible! at one point i was like, "le...um..."reward"...ou cadeau!..." hehe...good recovery at least (i think...).

"Oh man. D.eath presented itself rather differently today, in the form of the AP French Language exam"

Truer words have never been spoken. It was bad.

I hope they're lenient with the speaking...cause I only used half of my time for one of the questions...and I didn't know how to say a certain important word. I thought the listening was easy...who knows about the essay! I'm just glad it's over!

So, how'd you guys think it was? I think I did well on the essay, but the speaking part was harder for me. I can't collect many thoughts in 1 min 30 seconds, but I guess I did the best I could. The exchanges and reading comprehension were much easier than they were in the Barron's book. The fill ins were fairly easy too. I didn't get to describe the last picture in the speaking one about the boy finding the wallet, so I hope I don't get too much off for that. But everything else was pretty.... bon.

AWFUL on the recording... I
HATE
the recording... i think i might get a 4 all through the test... especially confident on the writing and reading, but after the recording.. now ill be thankful for a 3

That wasn't so bad guys, cheer up. Even thought I planned to study and do all this stuff in advance, I ended up not doing anything and I just went through the test and hoping for the best.

GL all

yeah i meant the speaking part.. i was sitting near all my friends and we just couldnt stop laughing because we had absolutley no idea what to say. i thought i did pretty good until i hit this part. i dont think i could have gotten any points, it was basically me stumbling over basic french words and avoiding answering the question

Anyone know the grading curve?

I've heard that for AP Spanish, 75%+=5 (no physical proof though, sorry). Not sure if AP French is similar or not.

Hmm. That wouldn't be too bad I guess. Thanks!

On a side note, I've heard the AP French exam is harder, so that might lower the curve. Or maybe I'm just hoping that's true so our curve is lower. :-)

Did you take the French exam?

Yes, I did.

What did you think?
