Calling all college seniors - classes for *the* last semester at UNC?

Hi guys!

Hope everyone is doing well...

I am graduating from UNC in May (heck yes), and I was wondering if any upperclassmen have class suggestions. Since none of my semesters at UNC have been easy by any means, I am really, really hoping that I can go a tad lighter for Spring semester (my LAST semester - excitement!).

So... if any of y'all have taken a class that was interesting/amazing/easy, I would love to know about it. I've already gotten some suggestions from friends, but a few more options would be great.

Thanks!

Social Psych wasn’t super interesting but it was incredibly easy.

The Music as Culture classes are really neat.

Haha, I have a lot of favorite classes but they were all really, really hard.

If you’re J-School, New Media Technology in Adv/PR/Marketing with Gary Kayye is hands down favorite class I’ve ever taken. And it’s easy. And he brings you free stuff/food all the time!

Take a few 100-level humanities classes taught by grad students (not big classes with TAs, but the 40-person classes taught by grads).

The basic humanities are interesting, and the grad students (i) don’t really want to be teaching anyway, so can’t be bothered to assign much work; (ii) have to keep their student satisfaction levels up, so they grade easily.

Alternatively, take a graduate seminar or two. They actually tend to be light on written work, but the level of discussion is out of this world. Might as well get some challenge out of your education, and it will look good on your transcript. I took 2 ‘700’ level grad seminars last semester, and they are the best classes I’ve ever taken. Plus since the Prof was impressed that I was there at all, she graded me a bit generously I think.

keepittoyourself

Not the easiest class in the entire world but very doable, a class that I think everyone at UNC should take at some point is ENST 201, preferably with Gangi.

Econ 101 with Byrns

What is the number for that JOMC New Media Technology class??
