for more international desis

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Toor Dal??? My mom makes that everyday, and I despise, deplore, hate....(cant think of more ways to say hate) any kind of Dal!! yuckie yuck yuck!!!!!!

I probably will go to University of Pittsburgh, or University of Virginia (I dont know if I will get into UVa, but hey, I can pray cant I?)

"yuckie yuck yuck" LOL!!!!!! :D

yeah.. when its the same dal over and over, it gets tired fast! urad (sp?) dal especially.

i hate dal. whats people's obsessions with dal mahni? its no big deal

well, i have hated dal forever...never liked it...although, putting seasoned salt on top of it makes it taste ALOT better....but in college....no DHAL for me! w00t!

oo that was *makhni but whatever

dal is really good you guys that makes me sad that some arent able to appreciate its yummyness. and there's so many types of dals ppl, the possibilities are endless! hm but you know i don't think i can go longer than a week without rice. honestly.

anyone see bride and prejudice yet? i just saw it tonite. the lead guy, martin henderson (also from TORQUE and THE RING)... oh my, he's just so so cute. =p ::sigh:: wow.

I hate BP...it just stereotypes everything abt India and Bollywood..plus the songs are horrible...

you forgot to add that it was just plain boring and that martin bloody henderson was an insult to the one and only Colin Firth

oh that movie was so bad..
i didnt really like the plot.. it was trying to be a hindi movie in english and it failed.

it was okay...kinda cheesy but aish looked gorgeous as always...i plan to go to stanford (keeping my fingers crossed) or ucla next yr...maybe usc...and dal makhni is sooo good!

is bride & prejudice really that bad? this indian magazine gave it an awesome review.

after reading the book it seemed really fake...a lot of people have their own opinions on it because i know people who loved it.

see-the thing is that I felt Gurinder Chadha insulted both Bollywood and India in her movie-she plays up a lot of stereotype and kitsch-otherwise this was a gr8 topic for a movie.

anyway on to more important questions-Why does Aishwarya Rai look better in a sari than in other garments?

why is everyone obsessed with the guju food lol jk

but where are the rajma chawal/kari chawal lovers? or am i the only one....

"anyway on to more important questions-Why does Aishwarya Rai look better in a sari than in other garments?"

well, i think most people who are thin look good in saris, its the cool thing to do for the younger/unmarried women wearing risque saris nowadays lol

"why is everyone obsessed with the guju food"
coz more gujjus on this board

"Why does Aishwarya Rai look better in a sari than in other garments"
coz although we dont like to admit it, saris are (can be) more revealin...
