Calling all writers, scientists, or just plain science lovers on HSL!

Recovering an old thread. Can I help? Or is this idea dead…

i’ve done research stuff on developmental biology and melanoma.

omg… this is from 2011… prob waaaay over… bummer woulda loved to help :(

bump… u guys are saying that u would’ve loved to do this. Why not start it up again if it is dead? idk if the magazine exists but we should really make one! I was searching for something like this on google when this thread came up… I think its a great idea!

I would be willing to help start something up.

Really? that would be cool… can you PM me @awakeningvenus? I have been wanting to do something like this for a while.

I would be willing to help too! I love writing (as a hobby) and science (participated in research competitions!) feel free to PM me!

Looks like this is only good for the OPs to get into college.

Oooh me! I’m a writer and want to be a scientist! PM me!

Ok u both have been PMed… PM back regarding what you would like to write about

Kind of late to this thread, but does anyone want to start a legit online science journal with me?? I’m planning to create a successful online scientific journal for high school students that will hopefully involve students from all across the US and maybe even international students. Either PM me or respond to this thread if you’re interested.

I’m a writer as well (have decent scientific exposure and comprehension, as well). I’ll gladly help :)

I participated in my schools science magazine and I’d be happy to contribute for any projects.

Thanks @nickb14‌ and @balledtoohard‌. I sent you both PMs with further instructions.

For others interested in starting a scientific/mathematics journal with me, we do have positions (administration, editor, peer reviewer, and web master) available! This is a great chance for anyone interested in a STEM field, and best of all, the journal is entirely run by high school students, so don’t feel intimidated if you don’t have an extensive research background. Topics are chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics! PM me or respond back to this thread if you’re interested in filling a position, and I can give you more information.

bump 10char

I’d LOVE to help. I love science, and I am a member of our school’s newspaper. Please PM me!

@enchanted31 I’d be interested in helping out. What exactly does an administrator do? I have experience as a journalist as I am currently a member of my school’s newspaper.

@ScienceNerd7 Have you done research that is able to be published? I think he mentioned in the PM he sent me that since they’re just starting, they need everyone to first submit a paper. The biopharm company I’m doing research at requires approval before I publicly release any research I did within it, so I can’t really submit any sort of paper…

I’d be interested in being a webmaster, peer reviewer or maybe a writer for the magazine. Also, just so you know, there already is a successful science journal for high schoolers at http://nhsjs.com/

@capitalamerica No not yet, however, I will be doing an internship in a chemistry lab later though…maybe then.
