CALS or CAS?

I'm interested in business, yet I'm not exactly sure if I'll major in it. I've never taken any business or economics courses (I'll be taking AP Micro/Macro Econ next year though), so I'm not exactly sure if I want to major in it. But it's something I'm strongly interested in.

What is the difference between Applied Economics and Management in CALS and Economics in CAS? Are the colleges more or less selective for Early/Regular Decision? What are the advantages of going to one over the other (if there are any) in terms of finding a job and securing connections, student life, ect.? Are students generally the same at both schools or does a certain "type" of student apply to CALS over CAS or vice versa? I'm so confused...@_@ Thanks for responding!

Search previous posts... this question comes up often. One such post is http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=18484

students are not typed by college other than that hotelies are hot ;) State contract colleges have more NY students, but that doesn't make a difference in the least.

AEM is accredited undergrad business major, Econ is B.A. in econ, a liberal arts degree.

If you do will in either you will do fine in the job market.

There will be no difference in social life--it's not like hotelies don't speak to architects, and ILRies don't speak to CAS students.
