I applied to Caltech on January 3, 2016 and it is only yesterday that the application materials chuckles is available for viewing on the Caltech self-service account. The only missing component on my application is the Statement of Intent for International Financial Aid. I wanted to know if I submit my statement as a need-based aid applicant. I sent the form yesterday and so it was postmarked on January 15. Am I eligible for the aid program?

What does this question mean?
I think by that bolded part they probably mean don’t come back well after the fact (months later or in future semesters) and ask for aid. FA offices are used to confusion or difficulty collecting info, making forms a few days late. They can’t process everyone’s forms immediately anyway. Call them on Tuesday (they won’t be in on the weekend, and Monday is a holiday). Or send the FA office an email letting them know you mailed it from wherever you are from on 1-15, and ask if this is okay.
Thanks, @intparent and @sybbie719
