Caltech RD Class of 2019 Decisions **OFFICIAL**

Yeah, they will be released on different dates but within 12 hours of each other.

where did you get that info?

That info comes from making an analytical comparison of the MIT time (Saturday, March 14, 9:26 am EST) and the Caltech time (Friday, March 13, 7:00 pm PST).

lol I didn’t know the Caltech date and time were posted O.o And even if that’s the correct time, there’s more than 12 hours between 7:00 PST (4:00est) and 9:00est the next day. :stuckouttongueclosedeyes:

7:00 PST is actually 10:00 EST, so I only have less than 12 hours to digest the first rejection.

@safireonfire‌ 7:00 PST is 10:00 EST

I don’t remember why I didn’t apply to MIT.

@safireonfire Did you apply to one of these math-intensive institutes?

i feel so stupid right now :disappointed: sorry… i’m so used to converting from est to pst i subtracted instead of adding

I already attributed it to anxiety/nerves.

That probably played a part too lol

Hey guys. This is so hard. I applied to MIT too and I think it will be too much to handle. :frowning: By the way, are you guys surprised that Caltech disregarded the Pi day this time. It is such an auspicious day!

Does anyone have confirmation on notification date and time? I heard it’s tomorrow 3/14, but cannot confirm.

No one actually knows. But it’s rumored to be tonight (or tomorrow).

@Safireonfire – Thanks. That’s what I was told, but there hasn’t been anything concrete. Feeling hopeful…

Posted yesterday afternoon at http://www.admissions.caltech.edu/:

“First-Year admissions decisions will be released on Friday, March 13th at 7:00pm PDT. Decisions may be viewed online through the portal.”

Good luck everyone!

I swear, I checked the website this morning O.o But thanks for sharing! @zyxw88‌

Maybe it’s an experiment. After all, it is Friday the 13th.

Haha, just hope it’s not like the Johns Hopkins early decision email confusion. My friend got her heart broken twice the poor thing.

Ah, so a Pi Day release if you go by UTC. It is already Pi Day in Beijing.
