we did ch 2-9 plus 11 and did 4 labs so far

I was in AP Bio last year, and I got a 5. If your school is on the right track, you should be doing part of a lab every day. I'm serious - there should always be lab work to do...that's how it was for us, except on test days and discussion days. I believe the people in AP Bio now are currently on chapter...um...14, maybe? I know they just finished a Mendelian genetics lab. Either way, something like 95-100% of our AP Bio students score a 3 or better.

I would say that labwork is VERY IMPORTANT. In a real college course, you spend so much time in the lab! Most people who don't score well a) didn't finish the book, b) did virtually no labs or c) had teachers who never did any graduate work.

we're on chapters 17-18 right now

we've done 1 lab, chapters 1-24, and now we're skipping to chapters 35-39 next week, i think. aghhh. i hate the campbell biology book 'cause it's so dense & annoying to read, haha.

Any tips for self-studying?
Especially for the labs.
Help!!

Is Campbell a good AP Bio textbook?

^^Yes, its used in most ap and intro bio courses

Read the book. If you don't understand it or get the questions after the chapter wrong, read it again.

Hey, StarbuckAddict08, could you send me the outlines your teacher gives you? I'm trying to self-study, and I'd really appreciate it.

We have covered Chapters 1-10 and 12. We're now on Chapters 13 and 16, in addition to having done 3 labs..

This particular site has some great, really concise chapter outlines.

If I run out of time to thoroughly read the book, I usually just read those outlines. Also, my campbell book came with a cd that has some useful practice quizzes.
