I really can't decide between applying ED to Princeton or Columbia. I know they are COMPLETELY different schools but there are aspects of each I really like. I like New YOrk City and think it would be exciting to live there..but for FOUR years? THat I'm not so sure on. And PRinceton is in the middle of nowhere and there is that whole eating club thing. I heard Columiba does not foster any type of close knit campus community which I regard as critical. (I did visit both, but Pton in December and Columbia in the summer so I didn't get to see the students) But I also think that I might have a better shot a Columbia. I also want to major in business or law, so Columbia might offer my opportunities internshipwise...but Princeton is gorgeous and it has the Woodrow Wilson school...comments anyone?

Why not apply to colleges that have EA or rolling admissions? Then, apply RD to Princeton and Columbia if they still interest you. ED really is for people who know for sure that school is their no. 1 choice. To my ear, you are a long way from knowing that, which is fine -- really. Take a little more time. And, if at all possible, visit both schools while students are there since, ultimately, that will be what leads to your decision.
