I understand that, should a campus job be offered (rather, the opportunity to apply for a campus job) as part of a financial aid package, we do not have to hold a job. I've discussed this with my parents and have decided that I will not be holding a campus job. My question though is this: do I have to tell anybody in particular that I'm not going to be applying for a job? Does this also mean that I don't need to have the I-9 form filled out and ready to hand in on the 11th of September? I understand that I can fill it out later should I change my mind, but I don't want to NOT have it and then have issues immediately. Any advice/knowledge would be much appreciated! :)

I would still fill out the I-9 form - even if you don’t get a job freshman year it’s likely that you’ll do something you’ll get payed for at some point (and although I don’t remember, it’s possible that they require everyone to do it during orientation). You don’t have to tell anyone… if they give you a particular job assignment and supervisor, you could send a quick email, but don’t worry about it.
