I'm a bit confused. In my financial aid package, it lists a student job as about $2900 of the total cost. However, when I called the financial aid office, they said that I was not eligible for work-study. I was under the impression that everyone on financial aid receives a work-study job (dining/library/etc.). Can someone clear this up for me?

This means that you can go and apply for a job, just like any other student can. You’re not on work study, which means that you’re not guaranteed a job. The $2900 campus job in your financial aid package is for your personal expenses, own budgeting, so do whatever you want with it. You can choose to look for a job or not.

I was also wondering about this… I didn’t realize the “campus job, $2900” wasn’t the same as the work-study thing-- silly me. I may or may not wind up getting a job in this case.
