Lehigh is one of my top schools that I am looking at the moment. I only got to visit the campus once, and it didn't really seem like there was much to do there for recreation or fun. I was wondering what students could do on their off time at the campus. I know NYC is about an hour away, but are there any local areas for leisure?

For recreation or fun… There’s actually a lot of things to do.
There are many clubs that you can join that range from academic in nature (computing, finance, micro finance etc) to athletics (club sports, intramural, walking on to a DI team).
There are also clubs that do field trip type things for example, paintball.
Nightlife wise, the main thing to do on the weekend would be party. You can find any type of party here, from crazy and pack to more laid back and casual. If you don’t want to party, you can go to SteelStacks and see a movie, attend a concert in Philly, or take a weekend trip to NYC. Sometimes different clubs host trips to places like Dorney.

NYC is approximately a 3 hour bus ride from Lehigh. It costs 24$ one way and the time can vary based on traffic. They have many buses running throughout the day. I’ve taken them to NYC about 3 times already this school year. They’re great. You can get off at Newark airport or The Port Authority in NYC.

Local areas for leisure, i’d probably say not many-- but there’s a lot to do on campus, so much that many students feel like they’re in the “Lehigh Bubble.”

Thanks for the help!
