campus? pretty?

I've heard many times that UCLA has a pretty campus, yet I've also heard that UCLA has a dirty ugly campus. Looking through these photos on the site make UCLA look very nice....

What do you mean by dirty ugly? UCLA definitely has a beautiful campus with its uniform red brick Romanesque buildings. If you mean dirty as in grey? then that probably describes Berkeley more. UC Berkeley is also nice and has lots of whites/greys.

north campus is prettier than south campus, but generally i would say UCLA as a whole looks pretty nice.

Yes, UCLA has a great-looking campus.

Is UCLA's campus better-looking than USC's?

the north campus looks better than USC, but not the south campus.

the UCLA campus looks awesome! However, the constant construction and unavoidable yellow tape everywhere kind of puts a dent in the beauty.

You just have to see the UCLA campus with your own eyes...

Where are most economics courses/Anderson school? North or South?

i visited ucla and the most appealing thing to me was the romanesque building theme and beauty of the overall campus. definately alotta construction goin on tho.

usc has a nice campus, but it is more compact and artificial. the weather is also milder at ucla

economics courses (Bunche hall), and Anderson school are in North campus.

It's a very nice looking campus.

absolutely gorgeous.

The Anderson School of Business is in middle North Campus. From my experience, Economics courses can be taught in Haines Hall (middle North Campus), Bunche Hall (far North Campus), Dodd Hall (middle North Campus) or Moore Hall (middle South Campus).

the campus is beautiful. i find it to be prettier than the berkeley campus...but then again, berkeley has those wonderful trees. god damn berkeley. but yeah, ucla's really nice....i love royce hall and underneath those arches where there's places to sit. the janss (janns?) steps were nice too, and there was this awesome fountain in front of it...students seem to enjoy lying down next to that fountain. i hate that hill though...what a workout.

(hill to dorms)

really? i hate Cal's trees. seems to dark and forresty...like a bum is gonna jump out and kill me.

"Cal's trees" is a pretty broad group of trees, many thousands of feet away from each other, and many different types. Which areas are you referring to?

both cal and UCLA are gorgeous. the architecture at both schools are unique and definitely separate themselves as norcal vs. socal. UCLA has a spanish/romanesque theme with rolling hills and lots of grass. plus theres always tons of sunshine. south campus is a bit grungy though. cal is very ecelectic, with tons of new and old buildings mashed together, but the older buildings seem to follow a neoclassical theme. its much more heavily wooded and the weather is often cloudy.
