How strict are the Emory cops and the college itself? How do they act towards underage students drinking?

That’s something only regulated in the reshalls by RAs, and most of them hardly do anything about it unless people start complaining about disturbances. However, it takes beyond 3 violations (first time caught is forgiven) of underaged drinking to warrant serious disciplinary action. People who make a scene large enough to get caught three times are kind of dumb and probably shouldn’t be here anyway as again, it’s pretty tough to get most RAs to become motivated enough to write people up for drinking. Basically as long as your actions while drinking don’t harm anyone, you’ll generally be fine. Emory is a normal college in this respect. Besides don’t worry about this stuff. You know you aren’t going to a conservative school, so this issue should relatively petty (if being unhindered while getting drunk is a huge priority before you even get here, then a state school would probably have been more appropriate). Just wait until you get here and see how everything plays out. They do have freshmen blackout(frat parties are supposedly off-limits to freshmen for a couple of weeks), but it generally fails, so going to fratrow is still easy. And then there are always Highland Lake, Clairmont, and other dorm parties.
