If your tour is given by a very happy, nice girl named Deirdre, be excited because she is my sorority sister :) Just thought I'd share....

i just went on a tour last friday at BU. I was really impressed with the campus, it is very pretty. I did not feel that the tour was very through as we did not get to go in any of the buildings except the library. Also, you do not get to go very far from where the tour starts, so I would reccommend walking around on your own to get a good feel of the new areas etc. Also, if you go to the information session right before the campus tour, in my case anyway, the info the tour leader said was an exact repeat of the information session.. which was somewhat frustrating to hear the exact same hour long info given twice.

the people that gave the tour and the info session were very helpful though, if you ask them questions they were pretty good at having an answer. the campus has a great feel to it, but i definitely think that a visit is neccessary to make a good decision.

The campus is long and along Commonwealth Ave. A one hour tour is just not enough time to see even the major stops. I would suggest taking the tour and then asking for directions/locations of specific areas of interest when you get back to the Admissions Office. Just walk around, talk to students, even Profs. That's the best way to get a good feel for the school.
