<p>I'm an MIT student who wants to cross register to take Russian at Harvard.</p>
<p>So....</p>
<p>Question 1: What time would a 9 AM class end, and where would a language class meet? I want to make it to a class at MIT by 10:05 and the Harvard Class I want to take is at 9. Assuming the class is in the yard, I should be able to bike it if it ends at 9:55 or earlier, but even then, I don't know how good Harvard teachers are with finishing on time.</p>

<p>As a rule MWF classes are an hour and TTh classes are an extra half hour.
All classes start x minutes from the hour designated (I forget what x is
- something like 3-7 I think). They apparently end on time.</p>
<p>Russian and some languages have "Speaking Practice" hours as well though
at other times in the week.</p>
<p>Harvard language classes are quite</a> intense funfrom every single person I
have talked to. They are ranked very high in satisfaction rivaling freshman
seminars.</p>
<p>Someone would need to tell you where the Russian classes typically
(somewhere near Barker Center?) meet.</p>

<p>The classes start at 7 after (that's why On Harvard Time's logo is a clock with the minute hand at seven after the hour) and on MWF will run for 1 hr. They end on the hour though, not at __:55, and I'm not sure you're language preceptor/professor/TF will be happy about you running out early. </p>
<p>Easiness varies (check the CUE guide) but responses are pretty uniformly positive for language classes.</p>

<p>Aha. If you're interested in specific classes you can PM me and I'll give you synopses of their Q ratings. I don't think they're going to be posted until 8/15 though.</p>
