Can A level help me advance to 2nd or 3rd year of US colleges???

Hi guys. I have been international student in Singapore for 2 years and I just finished my O level last month. Now, I'm standing at the turn of my life and have to make decision whether continue my A level in Singapore then move to US or move right now. Since my family will immigrate to US in a couple of years, I wanna go there as soon as possible. If I'm to move to US now, my only choice is to study in community colleges in Washington state while if I spend 2 years for A level i will have more choices. I've heard from many sources (idk if they're truth-worthy or not) that A level can help advance to 2nd or 3rd year of most of US colleges except to the top ones. Can anyone who have exprerienced before help me to clear my doubt? Thanks for all your information

Greetings @templartran In the best situations, A level results (with 3-4 As or A* results) will earn a student between one half to one academic year’s worth of credit. Keep in mind, at top US institutions, you will need to have completed at least 12 years of education before starting in the U.S. for university-level study, and those schools may not give any credit for your A-levels. Most schools won’t accept you at this stage having only completed O-levels. So, best advice would be to continue on with your secondary school studies at A-level or perhaps at an IB school in your country. Good luck.
