Can a Psych major, Communications minor help me get a job in Business?

I want to be either a forensic psychologist or a marketing manager. I've heard business courses are extremely boring, so I'm hesitant on making it my major. My main interest is Psychology; learning about the human mind and how we feel, think, learn, etc. I also want to take Communications to become more persuasive in my speaking.

As for a job, what I really want to do is something in Business, particularly Marketing. I figured a bachelors in Psych and minor in Communications would help me get a secure job in business even without a business degree, and get my MBA later on since MBA programs accept people from all majors. If that doesn't work out, I'll just keep working towards a Masters in Psych and become a forensic psychologist.

Depends on your school. A large majority of the recruiters for top companies at my school look for business school grads. Can you add a business minor or double major? I think that would show your interest in marketing more than psychology (although understanding pyshcology is a great advantage). Go to your school’s career center, see what they say.
