Can a school delete my SAT score send?

Hello! Earlier this year, I sent an official (substandard) SAT score to USC for a pre-college program of theirs. Now that I will be unable to take the test again and I plan to apply test-optional, I was wondering how/if I could get USC to delete my SAT score. Or will I be able to apply test-optional even though the score has already been sent to them?

If you apply test-optional, they won’t look at it even if they do have it on file.

Okay, awesome thank you so much! I was really worried that I couldn’t apply test-optional, even if they had the score.

Do you actually select something that says that you are test optional? I always assumed that it just wasn’t a required element to make an app complete. If they have one when they review your file they use it. If it isn’t there, they decide without it.

@Eeyore123 Schools will ask on the common app if you would like to apply test-optional. For schools like USC that are shifting to test-optional for the class of 2021, they’ll have to add that question.
