do u think i should regive the SATs (any of them) as i'm considering schools like Harvard, Yale, MIT, Caltech, and cornell. i'd really appreciate it if some transfer acceptees to these schools would advise me as to how i should carry out my freshmen year and what essential steps would be necessary at this point.

Get VERY GOOD GRADES, WORK VERY HARD and you can do it.

that's really enlightening. anyone else. i really have to decide.i'd appreciate any advice.
bump bump bump

hey arseus, yaar these guys are not gonna be able to help you much, cause they're not familiar with the O and A levels systems we have back in pakistan. After studying in elementary and junior high here in the states, i studied O levels uptil 10th in Karachi for a while, then came back here to finish high school and am now transferring from a state university to a large urban private school. As far as i can see, your SATs are in mediocre range comparing to admissions at the big universities, but as transfers, our high school record does not matter AS MUCH (however, it still does matter) as compared to our college achievements. These SATs could get you into some good schools like Univ of Washington, Univ of Illinois - Urbana Champaign, there are many in the range, PM me for some more info. Your O and A level stats seem pretty good, at least as far as i can remember back when i took O levels in 2000-2001, and some colleges here are familiar with the stats cause its the system used for many international applicants. your best bet is to get in touch with universities and their international students programs out here, preferably by email (trust me, they are very helpful). but do PM me, i think i can help you out a bit more than on here. hope some of this relieved your anxieties, like i said, PM me or email me at prosmat3c@netscape.net
