Can a transfer student finish EECS in 2 years?

So, Berkeley has sample 2-year junior transfer curricula for EECS on page 31 of this document:
<a href="http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/Programs/Notes/10-11ugradhandbook.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/Programs/Notes/10-11ugradhandbook.pdf</a></p>

As you can see, most of those semesters require 15-17 units. Is this realistic?

I am trying to decide between Cal and UCLA, and if one of them would allow me to finish in 2 years, then that is where I would go.

Are my hopes unattainable? I think that one of the biggest obstacles to this plan could simply lie in trying to get registered in that many classes. I would especially love to hear from any EECS or CS majors.

Blue and Gold only lasts for 2 years, so I am going to be in a lurch if I take longer.

EECS was designed to be a 7 semester program. Its definitely doable. You only need 5 upper div classes. Its definitely doable.

15 units is the “normal” course load.

As long as you do not put too many high workload courses (lab, heavy computer programming, and/or large term project) together in one semester, 17 units should be doable if you have decent study skills.

How many of CS 61A/61B/61C, EE 40/20N, and (CS 70 or Math 55) have you fulfilled at community college? The sample curricula assume CS 61B but no others. If you missing any, and they are available at any nearby community college this summer, you may want to take them there to release schedule pressure.
