My nervousness has resulted in me trying to find a way to see if we got in...

Other schools (like Emory) often had overlaps which allowed you to see if you got in before admissions decisions were really released. So.. can anybody create an email account? I'm wondering if this would be possible since the admissions packets are already on their way and presumably you should be able to create an email.. I tried but it doesn't recognize my SSN..

Just a test, but who knows this might not even mean anything. And yes I'm very very very nervous and anxious.

BTW: Does Vandy send big letters or small letters for acceptance?

tried and cannot. but i am really not expecting an acceptance here. after reading who got into unc, you have to either be almost perfect or an urm so i have little chance at some of these schools. I am just above average (rated on making 31ACT vs the 33 and 34 everyone seems to post) and a 4.0 (vs the 4.---). Starting to think this whole process is a joke. Sorry but if you have to be from a family that never went to college or a disadvantaged or brilliant, then might as well apply to Yale! yes, sour grapes.

I cant do it iether

Blah, maybe it doesn't mean anything... I hope so anyway.. because I can't do it lol.. and gastudent don't give up hope so soon!! We will all know sometime this week! :) I'm pretty average too..

i got in ed and it worked for me but idk if it works for rd kids. If u couldnt it probably doesnt mean anything though. thanks fjchowdhury cause i was wonderin when i could get my e-mail.

i couldn't do it either, i don't think it means anything for rd.

yeah i couldn't either, now i'm freaking out....i really hope that doesn't mean we were rejected!

If I remember correctly from both S & D, e-mail accounts can't be created until the matriculation fee is paid.

Nope didnt work for me either. I assume the acceptances are going to be in big envelopes. Does anyone know when to expect the letters on the west coast?

I did it, but I was accepted ED I, so hang in there guys!

Ah okay, thanks guys!!! I guess we have to hold on tight!!

It worked for me too, but, yet again, I'm ED.

didn't work for me either

You definitely cannot create your VUNetID (needed for email, OWL access, restricted site access login, and to apply for housing) until you have paid your matriculation fee.

Feenotype ~ I haven't seen your posts in a while. Where are you? Aren't you a freshman somewhere?

what was the overlap wiht emory?

guys, i would not worry about this. i applied to unc, was in the student directory, had an account and could actually pay my bill but was rejected! so who knows how these systems work. i would rather not be able to do it so that if i get rejected, i did not have false hope.
as for having to pay your fees, i had not done so with unc and was still able to access the info. obviously, their system is a mess but who knows why some of the schools do this stuff?

I sent you a pm, reasonabledad.
